Fig And Banana Smoothie

When I was out the other day I bought some dried figs in an emergency. I prefer not to eat much dried fruit! They were sitting in the cupboard and suddenly decided to mix them with my bananas for a bit of variety! I was delighted at the results. After coming back from a 11K run you can imagine how good this delicious creamy smoothie went down! I have to say this is one of my favorite recent discoveries so had to share it with you!


  • 6 dried figs, chopped and soaked for 15 minutes
  • 8 bananas


Place the chopped figs in the blender and add some water to help the blender turn and get a thick paste. Add more water if necessary.

Add the bananas and blend together. Adding enough water to get the desired consistency.
